Police rescue abducted teen girl; 34-year-old man taken into custody - WSB Atlanta

Posted: 31 Oct 2019 05:09 AM PDT

A 14-year-old girl has been found safe Wednesday night almost 10 days after she went missing along with a 34-year-old man in Virginia.

Isabel Shae Hicks had last been seen on Oct. 21 at her home in Bumpass, Virginia, about 40 miles north of Richmond, police said.

She "appeared unharmed," according to authorities.

Police had previously said she was believed to be traveling with Bruce Lynch, who was taken into police custody when Hicks was found late Wednesday. The Louisa County Sheriff's Office said a vehicle the two were in was stopped in Caroline County, north of Richmond, "after a pursuit."

He was spotted by an eyewitness with the teen in Hanover County on Monday and police previously said they feared the eighth-grader could be in extreme danger.

TRENDING STORIES:

Police said Lynch had altered his appearance, including shaving his beard and wearing new clothing, when he was seen with Hicks on Monday.

Authorities previously said that Lynch was known to the teen, but declined to discuss their relationship.

Hicks was located safe and an Amber Alert issued last week has been canceled, Virginia State Police said. Investigators did not provide details about where she was found, but they said they would offer offer more details as soon as possible.

"Miss Hicks has been safely located and Lynch taken into custody," Virginia State Police said in a statement. "The Louisa County Sheriff's Office will provide an update shortly ... please be patient, as they're still in the midst of the investigation and arrest."

On Monday, investigators said there was no evidence to suggest that the teen had been taken forcefully.

Lipsy x Abbey Clancy's womenswear and kids collection at Next - goodhousekeeping.com

Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:00 AM PDT

Abbey Clancy's Lipsy capsule has gone from strength to strength since it first launched back in autumn 2018. So, we're super excited to announce that the model is continuing her collection, after the birth of baby number four, for a third season. And it drops today (16 October) on Next.

The best bit? The Strictly Come Dancing star's line now comes with a matching 'mini me' collection from Lipsy Girl – so you can co-ordinate with the little one in your life.

The range is modelled by none other than Sophia Crouch, Abbey's eldest daughter with husband and footballer Peter Crouch, and the campaign pictures are absolutely adorable.

Depicting Abbey and Sophia in a line-up of gorgeous party dresses and cosy winter coats, the campaign will definitely encourage customers to start gearing up for the festive season. No, it's not too early to start thinking about those Christmas and New Year's eve outfits!

BUY NOW Ombré sequin mini dress, £46, Lipsy Girl at next.co.uk

What we love about this range is that Lipsy has designed the clothes to match subtly, rather than exactly; choosing similar fabrics or trims, but not the same silhouette.

So, the clothes are cleverly cut to be more girlish and demure for younger girls, while the women's clothes have fitted silhouettes and lower necklines, to enhance natural curves.

Amongst our favourite in the drop, are the feather-trimmed pieces with a retro appeal. The girls' '60s-inspired shift version comes in baby pink, while the women's hourglass midi comes in a more sultry shade of black. We also love the girls' sequin fit-and-flare mini dress, which is embellished all over with ombré sequins fading from gold to pink.

Without a doubt, though, the hero pieces in the collection are the matching black coats. Cut in a belted robe style for women and a pea shape for kids, they're both trimmed with faux fur at the collars and cuffs, to create a '70s-inspired look that is bang on trend for autumn/winter 2019. We suggest you invest immediately, because we doubt these will hang around for long.
