ROME (AP) — The Italian coast guard is bringing socks, shoes, bread and fruit to 47 migrants who have been stranded at sea for nine days aboard a German humanitarian group's rescue boat close to the Italian island of Sicily. Italy's hard-line interior minister, Matteo Salvini, refuses to let humanitarian boats that rescue migrants in the Mediterranean from smugglers' unseaworthy vessels disembark because he contends the aid facilitates trafficking. Sea-Watch 3 rescued the migrants on Jan. 19 in the waters off Libya. On Sunday, three Italian opposition lawmakers and the mayor of nearby Syracuse boarded Sea-Watch3, which is a mile offshore, to inspect conditions. Italian news agency ANSA quoted Syracuse prosecutor Fabio Scavone as saying the captain had requested psychological assistance for those aboard but added there wasn't any medical emergency. http://bit.ly/2RjlR44

Photos of Nike’s new Air Jordan “Concord” golf shoes were recently leaked, much to the delight of shoe fanatics. The latest edition of Jordans will feature Nike’s React Vapor tooling,  which, according to the brand, uses Nike React foam cushioning to deliver all-day comfort on the course. Meek Mill is on a mission when it comes to criminal justice reform . The Philly rapper recently hooked up with Puma for a new sneaker called the Reform. Proceeds from the shoe will go to benefiting criminal justice reform efforts. The Dreamchasers MC will wear the sneakers during his upcoming performance on Saturday Nighty Live . Police say the incident occurred near the 2700 block of Arch Street around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, identified as Brandon Pierce, 24 of Little Rock, told police he was in North Little Rock when he and another individual were picked up by two unknown black males. The suspects drove both of them to Little Rock before dropping off the other individual near the 700 block of Broadway. Soon after, Pierce says the suspects drove to a nearby alleyway, pulled out a handgun, and told him to empty his pockets.
