On birthdays, it's natural to want to be surrounded by one's favorite people and things. But what if those favorite people became the favorite things?
A video posted to TikTok by Zoe (@zoegroff19) has gone viral. It reveals how her family took on the theme of her 30th birthday by dressing up as the things she is "obsessed with." Since the video was posted on July 10, it has received 1.3 million views and over 285,000 likes.
"When you ask your family to dress up with things you're obsessed with for your 30th birthday," she captioned the video. "30th birthday has been successful thus far."

The video begins with an older man, presumably Zoe's father, dressed as the phantom from The Phantom of the Opera.
"Representations of you through the years," he said into the camera before returning to the wings to make a grand entrance in the family's yard.

After him, a series of family members came out dressed as other things that Zoe loves or used to love: cheerleading, acrylic nails, a Stanley water bottle, and professional skateboarder Ryan Sheckler.
Particularly praised in the comments was the impersonation of Sheckler, the star of the MTV reality series Life of Ryan. Zoe's mother put on the performance of a lifetime imitating the teen skateboarder, and even got a shout out from Sheckler himself.
"Pretty good," Sheckler commented on the video. Zoe said she would report the news to her mother immediately.
Others in the comments were more stunned by Zoe's family's dedication to the performances.
"Wow, they put so much effort into this—you're so loved," @0hmargarth wrote.
"Everyone went all out, threw 'modest' in the trash," @kellburgernfries wrote. "You're unbelievably lucky to have such a fun-loving family!"

"I'm guessing dad already knew the outfits but seems genuinely excited/surprised by each one," @camigregs wrote, referring to Zoe's father's hosting.
The family dog was a welcome addition to the lineup of performers. Some said it looked like he just wanted recognition as one of Zoe's "obsessions."
"[Not going to lie], when I saw the dog running out, I thought it was one thing you were obsessed with," @bealuna420 wrote. "He just wanted to be included."
In the comments, Zoe said she came up with the theme and planned the party but had no idea her family would go "so full out." She expressed gratitude for her family's joy and commitment, writing that she is "so lucky."
