Low-Rise Jeans Join The Bump-Reveal Button-Down In EmRata’s Maternity Wardrobe - British Vogue

“My job is to translate runway trends into realism.” So said Emma Morrison, the stylist behind some of Emily Ratajkowski’s most talking-point outfits, who has also masterminded minimalistic looks for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Her two clients have very different styles – Rosie’s wardrobe is bursting with editor-approved brands like Bottega Veneta, The Row and Totême, while seasoned midriff-flosser EmRata favours luxe loungewear and emerging labels – including her own Inamorata line. One thing they do have in common? Their love of trends.

Relaxed trousers were seen all over the spring/summer 2021 catwalks, including at Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Fendi and Chloé, and it looks as though Ratajkowski has deemed the trend just right for her maternity wardrobe. The mum-to-be has been wearing baggy jeans with her cosy separates, and was recently seen grabbing a juice in ’90s-esque low-risers worn with pared-back Re/Done 70s trainers and a soft Leset tank top. To keep off the chill, she shrugged a cosy cashmere Lori cardigan over her shoulders, also from Leset.

Louche denim seems like a natural choice for the model, who has stayed true to her personal style since she announced that she was expecting last month. The belly-baring button downs, figure-hugging dresses and heeled boots are all still present and correct. The puffer obsessive (her favourite brand is The North Face), likely already has her eye on another trend: the “sexy fleece”. Already seen on Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, it’s probably only a matter of time before we see the stylish mum-to-be in a cosy shearling crop top.
