A furious bride has taken to social media to slam her sister-in-law for turning up to her wedding in a white dress.

The bride had vented her frustration before on the Reddit forum titled 'WeddingShaming' when she found out what dress her sister-in-law was planning to wear.

Her fiance's sister was planning to wear a lacy, white number — usually seen as a wedding taboo if you're not the bride.

Some people on the original post had suggested the bride have some red wine at hand that she could not-so-accidentally spill on the dress.

Although the bride-to-be had voiced her dissenting views, the woman decided to wear the dress anyway.

She was subsequently branded 'vain', 'shameless' and 'tacky' by the social media commenters on Reddit.

She had also admitted her now husband's sister had been difficult with the colour of dresses and suits for the flower girls and ring bearers.

Someone made a joke that the picture of the two together looked like a 'lovely lesbian wedding'.

Others decided that the most embarrassing part of this action was the how 'ugly' the dress was'.

Some began to theorize why she would wear a white dress to her future sister-in-law's wedding.

It turns out she has been with her partner for 10 years… but he doesn't want to get married.

'So she's hijacking the wedding to feel like the bride,' someone hypothesized.
